Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and seasoned Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from beginning to end. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management in the commercial mechanical industry, possess technical expertise and possess excellent communication and leadership skills. Must have a proven track record for managing construction projects up to $10 million dollars.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all on-site construction activities
• Ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule
• Supervise and direct construction workers and subcontractors
• Interpret and explain contracts and technical information to workers and clients
• Monitor and report on project progress to stakeholders
• Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulations
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other specialists
• Manage daily workflows and workforce to ensure no bottlenecks

Skills & Qualifications

• Must have in depth knowledge of the mechanical trade
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven problem solving skills
• Excellent leadership skills and ability to optimize and engage workforce capacity
• Extensive experience using project management principles and workflows
• Proficient in construction estimating and project scheduling
• Experience with Microsoft office and construction management software
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Candidate must have a clean driving record and access to a vehicle
• May need to travel within Nova Scotia

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience of 10 years in a similar role in the mechanical industry
• Experience working on commercial projects up to $10 million
• PM certification and Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Infectious control training an asset
• Must qualify for Government of Canada Security clearance
