Pharmaceutics Tenure-Track Assistant, Associate or Professor Position #34708

The College of Pharmacy, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences (RFHS), University of Manitoba, Canada invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the Assistant, Associate or Professor rank, commencing on July 1, 2025 or a date mutually agreed upon. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The College of Pharmacy is located in the state-of-the-art 90,000 square feet Apotex Centre on the Bannatyne Campus of the University of Manitoba and is home to the Pharmaceutical Analysis Lab (P.A.L.) which has Shimadzu and Waters HPLCs as well as single and triple quadrupole mass spectrometers, and an open-concept laboratory space with 4 cell/tissue culture rooms, a ZetaPALS zeta potential analyzer, -80?C freezers, qPCRs, high content plate reader, a cold room, and an organic synthesis room.

The University is located within a large health sciences campus and collaborates closely with the Colleges of dentistry, medicine, nursing and rehabilitation sciences, within the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences (RFHS). The College of Pharmacy also works closely with Pharmacy organizations in Manitoba and with external partners who support work-integrated learning for students in community, hospital and primary care sites. The College is adjacent to several tertiary care teaching hospitals in Shared Health Manitoba and the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) as well as the Children's Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba (CHRIM). The RFHS also houses the Manitoba Centre for Health Policy, that conducts world renowned research on health and social determinants of health and supports the province's population-based data repository.

The College of Pharmacy has a long history of excellence in pharmacy education and research. It is a part of the RFHS at the University of Manitobba and provides opportunities for interprofessional and interdisciplinary collaboration in health sciences research and education. The University offers a full range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs embracing basic biomedical sciences, professional programs, and population health. This is an exceptional opportunity for a qualified individual to contribute to the ongoing success of the RFHS and to create a new level of interdisciplinary research and collaboration in a unit with complementary and diverse skills. The College currently has 18 full time tenured and tenure-track faculty members and 11 full-time instructors and offers a full range of both undergraduate and graduate programs in Doctor of Pharmacy and MSc and PhD. Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an independent research program funded externally, such as through the Canadian Tri-Agencies (ex. CIHR, NSERC). The individual will be expected to teach in undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as provide service to the College of Pharmacy and the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics or a closely related discipline. Evidence of productive post-doctoral or fellowship training is required for candidates at the Assistant Professor level, and evidence of an active, externally funded research program is required for candidates at the rank of Associate Professor. All applications from qualified individuals with expertise in pharmaceutics will be considered, however, preference will be given to those with a background in Pharmacy (BScPhm, PharmD, MPharm or equivalent).
