Position Available

Role Title: Junior Cost Analyst Internship Location: Sudbury Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday Term: 1 Year Paid Internship with potential for permanency

Duties & Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage the estimating and quotation process by reviewing customer RFQs, making quote/no-quote recommendations, logging and tracking quote activity, and ensuring all RFQ packages are complete, accurate, and compliant with customer requirements. Establish and monitor quotation timelines, collaborating with sales, engineering, and operations teams to ensure target dates are achieved and all required documentation, including feasibility studies, capacity reviews, approvals, and sign-offs, is completed prior to submission. Prepare and submit customer quotations, including piece pricing, tooling costs, variable margin analyses, capital requirement calculations, executive summaries, and supporting documentation in a timely manner. Maintain and continuously update quote tracking systems, CRM databases, and sales management systems, ensuring pricing, engineering changes, customer requirements, quote history, leads, opportunities, and client information remain accurate and current. Conduct outbound prospecting activities, including cold calls and proactive outreach, to generate new business opportunities, schedule appointments, and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within the existing customer base. Prepare, analyze, and maintain sales and estimating reports, dashboards, and executive summaries to support business planning, performance monitoring, and strategic decision-making. Provide administrative support to the sales team by preparing proposals, entering and maintaining data, coordinating follow-up communications, responding to customer inquiries, and directing requests to the appropriate sales representative. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure efficient order processing, seamless project handoffs, and a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the sales and estimating process. Prepare documentation and attend meetings, including GAP meetings and other operational reviews, as required. Manage general administrative responsibilities, including scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, organizing files, and supporting departmental operations. Recommend and implement process improvements, new systems, and best practices to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of sales administration and estimating functions. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills Requirements

Previous experience in a sales support, administrative, or customer service role. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including a confident phone manner. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with CRM systems. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. High attention to detail and organizational skills. Self-motivated, proactive, and a team player. Experience making cold calls or working in a lead generation capacity. Must be willing and able to travel as necessary within Ontario.
