Position Summary
TheCorporate HSE Analystrole combines analytical and administrative responsibilities to support the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) function across the organization. This role is responsible for utilizing HSE systems to track, report, and prepare analytics related to incidents, hazards, corrective actions, and overall safety performance across Western’s divisional business units. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for HSE analytics and performance measurement data and corporate administration.
In addition, the role provides administrative support to the HSE department by assisting with training systems, document control, and the standardization and consistent implementation of HSE processes across divisional business units.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze data used for compiling company safety statistics/trends and maintains reports as required.
- Input information and responsible for overall administrative management of all HSE client registry accounts. (ISNetworld, Complyworks, Avetta, etc).
- Maintain a centralized HSE document control system on corporate and shared network drives, ensuring that all documents are current and readily accessible.
- Assist with the creation and implementation of corporate safety initiatives and programs including corrective action plans designed to mitigate risk and enhance employee safety.
- Actively participate as a member of the Corporate Joint Worksite Health and Safety Committee (JWHSC), collaborate with other team members to identify hazards, recommend solutions, and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety legislation.
- Working closely with HR, assist in the development and delivery of training programs to ensure that all employees are aware of, and adhere to, corporate HSE policies and procedures.
- Assist the Marketing department in compiling and preparing HSE information for client tenders, proposals and other meetings as required.
- Corporate oversight of WCTL case management and billings.
- Manage the administrative and project management tasks for the transition of HSE forms from eCompliance to ITRAK 365, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and compliance with company policies and industry standards
- Serve as the primary administrator and custodian of the HSE platform (ITRAK 365), overseeing system integrity, permissions, updates, and ongoing compliance (post implementation).
- Collaborate with eXcelerate Learning to prepare training courses for import into Dayforce, including testing and validating course functionality prior to deployment.
- Provide training and support to employees on the proper use of updated HSE forms within Dayforce, ensuring adherence to corporate safety procedures.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- 2-5 years related experience
- Advanced MS Office skills, in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Must be highly focused with exemplary accuracy and attention to detail skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Skillfully multitask and effectively manage competing priorities
- Experience working with safety software such as ITRAK or eCompliance is considered an asset
Special Conditions of Employment
