About the role
Job Description
We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on SEO Manager to join Sage’s Global SEO team. This individual contributor role focuses on supporting global initiatives while leading the regional SEO strategy for North America - turning business goals into clear, data-led initiatives that improve visibility and performance across Sage’s digital ecosystem.
Acting much like an internal agency account manager or director, you’ll plan and oversee SEO activity across on-page, off-page, and technical SEO - partnering with internal teams, SEO specialists, and agency partners to deliver high-quality work that drives measurable impact.
You’ll collaborate with a globally distributed team, contributing to the growth and optimization of Sage’s web ecosystem - spanning multiple regions, business areas, and digital properties. This is an opportunity to help shape the future of SEO and AI-driven marketing at a global SaaS company.
You’ll thrive in this role if you’re a data-driven SEO who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, and who thrives in a global enterprise environment where collaboration and communication are just as important as technical and analytical expertise.
Location & Hybrid Requirements: 3 days per week from either our Toronto or Vancouver office (2 days from home)
Qualifications - What you'll bring:
-
5+ years of experience developing SEO strategies for enterprise-scale or multi-market websites, ideally within a digital agency or large organizations.
-
Ideally, you’ve worked at a digital agency as a strategic SEO Account Manager or Director managing large clients or budgets.
-
You have deep knowledge across on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
-
You’re confident using data to tell clear stories and make recommendations that influence decisions.
-
Exceptional communicator, comfortable working with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
-
You’re proficient in Excel (e.g. including pivot tables and V-lookups).
-
You’re a proactive operator, curious, organized, and effectively driving projects forward independently while collaborating globally.
Preferred:
Basic scripting knowledge (Regex, Python, or JavaScript).
Experience exploring or implementing AI tools.
