Positions Available: 1 – 1-year Contract Position

Position Location: Thunder Bay, ON (this position is not remote)

Position Overview:

The Indigenous Human Resources Intern will support the Human Resources department in delivering a variety of Human Resource services and tasks including recruitment, retention, new employee orientation, benefits administration, payroll, data entry, collective agreement and policies compliance as well as additional administrative functions.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • An individual who is of Anishinaabe ancestry from the Robinson Superior Treaty area with an understanding of Anishinaabe history, culture, traditions, ceremonies and values are preferred. Must be a Highschool graduate.
  • Experience in business administration.
  • Experience with a Human Resources Information System preferably HRMS (Sage Software).
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel as determined by the immediate Manager of Human Resources in relation to service requirements.
  • Must possess a Class “G” Driver’s License and have access to a personal vehicle.
  • Must complete a criminal records check satisfactory to Dilico.

**Hours of Work:**35 weekly
