Local 543 Position Status: Temporary Full-Time Job Code: 543209 Grade/Class: 0.09 Number of Positions: 1 Rate of Pay: $27.94 - $32.91 per hour Hours of Work per Week: 35 hours Shift Work Required: No Duties and Responsibilities: Reporting to the Manager of Administration or designate, this position will be responsible for: Performing clerical duties relating to the processing of accounts receivables for the Human and Health Services area; The verification of information; Processing miscellaneous revenues including cash, cheques and electronic payments; Handle daily banking transactions including administering a Petty Cash Float, and accepting payments via Debit machine; Sorting of data; General office duties including typing, filing, answering the telephone; Communicate with the public and fellow staff in a tactful and courteous manner; Will perform Occupational Health & Safety duties as outlined in the Corporation’s Health and Safety Program; Will perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Must have an Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma, plus one (1) year of post-secondary education in the Accounting field or Ontario Ministry of Education equivalencies; Must have over one (1) year of experience in a computerized office environment using the Microsoft suite of products as well as experience in a financial environment; Must have a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm; Experience with the PeopleSoft Financial System, SAMS and Amanda would be considered a definite asset; Excellent mathematical skills are essential.
