About the Opportunity: Shermco Canada is seeking a motivated and safety-focused Journeyperson Electrician to join our growing team. Our team delivers electrical construction, maintenance, and specialty solutions across a wide range of industrial sectors, including Utilities, Mining, Oil & Gas, and Technology. With expertise ranging from 24V to 230kV, Shermco is a trusted partner for complex and critical electrical systems.
Responsibilities Key Responsibilities
- Construct, alter, repair, and test industrial electrical systems and components
- Install and maintain low, medium, and high-voltage equipment in industrial settings
- Work around energized power and control equipment in accordance with safety standards
- Mentor and coach apprentices to promote skill development and safe work practices
- Select appropriate materials and ensure compliance with theCanadian Electrical Code
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment serviced
- Engage in Shermco’s Positive Safety Reporting and client field audits
- Comply with Shermco’s Health, Safety, Personnel, and Drug & Alcohol policies
- Perform other duties that you are assigned and trained to do
Qualifications Qualifications
- Red Seal Interprovincial Journeyperson Certificate required
- Experience in industrial and/or commercial environments is an asset
- Industrial safety training and certifications considered a plus
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Valid driver’s license and clean abstract required
- Willingness to travel for out-of-town projects as needed
