About the Opportunity: Shermco Canada is seeking a motivated and safety-focused Journeyperson Electrician to join our growing team. Our team delivers electrical construction, maintenance, and specialty solutions across a wide range of industrial sectors, including Utilities, Mining, Oil & Gas, and Technology. With expertise ranging from 24V to 230kV, Shermco is a trusted partner for complex and critical electrical systems.

Responsibilities Key Responsibilities

  • Construct, alter, repair, and test industrial electrical systems and components
  • Install and maintain low, medium, and high-voltage equipment in industrial settings
  • Work around energized power and control equipment in accordance with safety standards
  • Mentor and coach apprentices to promote skill development and safe work practices
  • Select appropriate materials and ensure compliance with theCanadian Electrical Code
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment serviced
  • Engage in Shermco’s Positive Safety Reporting and client field audits
  • Comply with Shermco’s Health, Safety, Personnel, and Drug & Alcohol policies
  • Perform other duties that you are assigned and trained to do

Qualifications Qualifications

  • Red Seal Interprovincial Journeyperson Certificate required
  • Experience in industrial and/or commercial environments is an asset
  • Industrial safety training and certifications considered a plus
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • Valid driver’s license and clean abstract required
  • Willingness to travel for out-of-town projects as needed
