About the role

Teaching this second year course in the Indigenous Digital Filmmaking (IDF) diploma program. IDF instructors bring a strong knowledge of contemporary Indigenous media production, and the culture that supports both Indigenous stories and contemporary Indigenous media storytellers.

Experience, competencies & qualifications

This course concentrates on the funding landscape for Indigenous media projects in Canada. This includes business, legal, budgetary, and creative concerns and the successful candidate will have previous experience in presenting this type of material in a two year diploma, or four year bachelors degree learning environment. The course also benefits from guest speakers from the current Indigenous media industry which the candidate will be able to provide. While a masters degree is preferred, candidates with relevant background and experience will be considered. Indigenous applicants will be given priority.
