Job Summary
HC Habitation is seeking a dependable and proactive Senior Labourer (Site Support Specialist) to support field operations, service work, and overall site readiness across multiple residential construction projects.
This is a hands-on role that goes beyond typical labour tasks. You will work closely with the Site Superintendent and play a key role in keeping projects running smoothly by anticipating needs, handling service and warranty calls, and maintaining organized, protected job sites.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, self-sufficient, and capable of planning their work based on project schedules.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain job sites to ensure readiness for upcoming work
- Perform service and warranty-related tasks across multiple projects
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues independently
- Review construction schedules to plan and prioritize daily work
- Support Site Superintendent and site supervisors as needed
- Ensure proper site protection, cleanliness, and organization
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle
- Travel between job sites within the Greater Montreal area
Requirements
- Experience in construction, general labour, or service-related work
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Valid driver's license (required)
- Ability to handle physical work and lift materials as needed
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
Nice to Have
- Experience in residential construction
- Familiarity with service or warranty work
- Basic knowledge of multiple trades (carpentry, finishing, etc.)
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly wage of approximately $38/hour (based on experience)
- Company-provided service vehicle
- 6 weeks paid time off per year
