The Team Leader will implement the Reverse Distribution Strategies and Returns Policies for the Deliver NA organization in support of the J&J Pharma Operating Companies in the U.S as well as management of the Returns Crediting processes for the Pharma business to ensure the timely and accurate crediting of J&J’s customers for all returned products that are Returns Policy compliant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of revisions to the Returns Policies for the J&J Pharma Operating Companies to meet commercial and legal requirements for J&J and its trade customers.
  • Streamlining of returns processes to reduce cost, while meeting all legal and regulatory (FDA, DEA and EPA) requirements.
  • Annual budgeting process for the J&J Pharma Reverse Distribution – Cost-Not In-Standard (RD CNIS) budget and the achievement of the Year-End budget goals,
  • Identification of RD projects that will deliver significant cost savings by reducing returns and/or reducing the cost to process/destroy returned products.
  • Development of new Returns Programs/Processes for "non-standard" J&J products or unique J&J business models.
  • Identification of process, system, compliance, or resource challenges to support New Product Launches, Acquisitions, and Divestitures.
  • Ensure all Purchase Orders are put in place each year and review YTD spending vs. budget with Finance to ensure that the YE budgets.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with 3PL Return Processing Providers with J&J Quality to review the 3PL’s performance to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Indicators (SLAs) as stated in the Work Orders and Quality Assurance Indicators as stated in the Quality Agreement.
  • Enforce the current J&J Pharma Returns Policy by only crediting customers for returned products that are compliant with the terms of the respective Returns Policy.
  • Partner with Procurement and Finance to conduct RFPs among 3rd Party Returns Providers to reduce cost while meeting all GMP, regulatory and brand security needs.
  • Identify and leverage the best returns handling and transactional practices across businesses to improve compliance and reduce cost.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s/University or equivalent degree is required

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant supply chain experience and 8+ years of overall business experience.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the end-to-end supply chain
  • Customer-centric mindset
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence without authority
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and implement approved strategies to drive value for J&J Pharma business
  • Proven leadership in optimally leading cross functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate team members, provide clear goals, develop talent and mentor others.
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical skills, strong influencing skills
  • Project Management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and talent development skills

Preferred:

  • Prior Pharmaceutical sector experience
  • Prior Vendor/Supplier Management experience
  • Process Excellence (e.g. Six Sigma or Lean) and/or APICS

  • This position may require up to 20% travel, domestic /international

$87,000-152,000

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
