Job Description: In collaboration with the health team, the primary health nurse will provide primary health services to the community. This includes: health promotion and protection, disease and injury prevention, provision of supportive, instructive, treatment and emergency services; collaboration with and referral to other health care professionals; initiating and participating in community development initiatives and participating in evaluative projects.

Education Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) Undergraduate degree or diploma in Registered Nurse Licenses Basic Life Support Level C Certificate (BLS-C) Other Education and Training Certification in Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or equivalent program required Competencies Advanced - Leadership skills Advanced - Decision making skills Advanced - Organizational skills Advanced - Research skills Advanced - Problem solving skills Advanced - Communication skills Advanced - Facilitation skills Knowledge and Abilities Knowledge of diverse health issues, culture and traditions Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Ability to develop and deliver formal education programs Communication skills to transfer knowledge/skills Other Information Travel within the region and provincially Registered/eligible for registration with the CRNS as RN (NP) For more information on the city of Estevan please visit http://estevan.ca/ Valid Class 5 driver's license May be eligible for the Rural & Remote Recruitment Incentive of up to $50,000
