About the role
Accounting Coordinator
Downtown Toronto, ON (Hybrid) Compensation: $60,000–$75,000 + Benefits Contract Length: 12 Months
We are currently partnering with a prominent investment management firm to find a driven Accounting Coordinator for their close-knit finance group. This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career finance professional looking to build a robust technical foundation while gaining specialized exposure to investment accounting, cash administration, and multi-entity workflows within a supportive corporate culture.
What You Will Be Doing
Cash Administration: Handle daily cash operations, track cash inflows/outflows, process payments, and maintain accurate banking ledgers. Intercompany Support: Generate intercompany invoices and coordinate cash transfers smoothly across multiple corporate entities. Investment Record Management: Collect, organize, and file key investment documentation, including financial statements, tax slips, and capital call or distribution notices. Reconciliations: Reconcile cash and fixed-income balances inside the firm's investment reporting framework, alongside standard bank reconciliations. General Ledger & Month-End: Prepare journal entries, assemble supporting financial schedules, maintain year-end working papers, and assist the broader team through month-end close cycles using Sage 300.
What You Bring
A Bachelor’s degree focusing on Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. Approximately 1 to 2 years of relevant accounting or financial administration experience. Solid practical background handling bank reconciliations, journal entries, and cash management tasks. Strong Microsoft Excel capabilities (comfortable with VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, and data filtering). Prior hands-on experience with Sage 300 (or a comparable enterprise ERP) is considered a strong asset. Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and a knack for managing competing priorities. A CPA designation is not required, though an interest in pursuing professional accounting credentials is viewed favorably.
We appreciate the interest of all applicants. Due to the volume of submissions, only candidates selected for next steps will be contacted.
