What Would Be Required In Your Role
- Working in gas plant and refinery environments.
- Working at heights.
- Working at ground level.
- Working around cranes and rigging.
- Handling of parts and materials.
- Working as a Confined Space Safety Attendant
What will put you ahead
- Knowledge of tools and equipment.
- Safety conscious attitude.
- The ability to read and fill out safety paperwork, specifically confined space documentation.
- Positive and friendly demeanor.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Ability to work with others.
- OSSA Confined Space Entry & Monitoring
- H2S Alive
- OSSA Fall Protection
- CSTS 20
The experience you will bring
- Knowledge of vessel internals, including trays, packing, demister pads, external piping, etc...
- Ability to read simple blueprints.
- Experience blinding and deblending process vessels.
- Prior experience as a Confined Space Safety Attendant.
- Prior experience working in vessels or with vessel internals.
- Prior experience working in gas plants or refineries.
- First Aid (Level A or C)
- WHMIS
- Basic Safety Orientation (OSSA)
- Many other tickets would be considered an asset, please list all tickets when applying.
Physical requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- The ability to climb stairs and ladders.
- The ability to stand for long periods of time.
- The ability to stay focused during slow periods.
