Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in AWS services, Infrastructure/Scheduling and integrating Kyvos Scheduling with data warehouse events. This role involves optimizing cloud infrastructure and ensuring seamless integration of AWS services. The position is hybrid with no travel required and operates during the day shift.

In this role, you will

• Design and implement scalable cloud-based solutions using AWS technologies to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services into existing systems.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance security and cost-effectiveness ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
• Monitor and maintain cloud environments proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using AWS CloudFormation to streamline deployment processes and reduce manual intervention.
• Configure and manage AWS Virtual Private Networks to ensure secure and efficient connectivity between cloud and on-premises environments.
• Utilize AWS EC2 to provision and manage virtual servers ensuring optimal resource allocation and performance.
• Implement AWS CloudFront for content delivery enhancing user experience by reducing latency and improving load times.
• Manage DNS configurations using AWS Route53 ensuring reliable and efficient domain name resolution.
• Configure AWS Elastic Load Balancing to distribute incoming traffic across multiple targets ensuring application availability and fault tolerance.
• Provide technical guidance and support to development teams fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay updated with the latest AWS technologies and industry trends recommending innovative solutions to enhance cloud capabilities.
• Contribute to the company’s cloud strategy driving operational efficiency and supporting business growth.

What you’ll need to succeed (required skills)

• Possess extensive experience in AWS CloudFormation AWS Virtual Private Network AWS EC2 AWS CloudFront AWS Route53 and AWS Elastic Load Balancing.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of cloud architecture and best practices for designing scalable and secure solutions.
• Have a background in Finance & Accounting domain which is a plus for understanding industry-specific requirements.
• Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud-related issues.
• Show proficiency in scripting and automation to streamline cloud operations and reduce manual tasks.
• Display strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Maintain a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies and industry trends.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client office at Toronto, ON.
