Position: Mechanical / Structural Engineer (P.Eng)
Location: East End of GTA
Salary: $110K to $140K depending on experience!

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical / Structural Engineer (P.Eng) , who has previous exposure to approving and stamping mechanical / structural designs for construction equipment for our growing client in the construction equipment manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and engineer custom mechanical systems and equipment for construction and industrial applications.

Develop detailed mechanical designs, calculations, specifications, and drawings suitable for manufacturing.

Review, approve, and stamp engineering designs in accordance with Ontario and applicable codes and standards.

Provide technical guidance, coaching, and design review for drafters and junior engineers to ensure accuracy and constructability.

Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, and project teams to transition designs into production and installation.

Support troubleshooting, modifications, and continuous improvement of existing equipment and systems.

Ensure all designs meet safety, regulatory, and quality requirements.

Participate in project planning, scheduling, and technical risk assessments as required.
Required Qualifications:
-
Professional Engineer (P.Eng), registered in Ontario (mandatory).
-
7+ years of mechanical engineering or structural engineering experience, preferably within construction, heavy equipment, or industrial environments.

Previous experience approving and stamping mechanical / structural designs and drawings
-
Proven experience with full cycle mechanical systems design
-
Solid knowledge of mechanical design standards, tolerances, materials, and fabrication methods.

Strong proficiency in using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and/or STAAD-Pro
-
Familiarity with CSA, TSSA, OSHA, and other relevant safety and engineering standards.

Strong mechanical design and analytical skills

Practical, solutions-oriented mindset

Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Proven coaching and leadership capability
-
High attention to detail with a focus on safety and compliance
-
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
