As a Software Engineer at Frostbite, you will join our Core Services team and report to the Development Manager with the mission to improve the productivity and efficiency of the wider Frostbite and game development teams.

Responsibilities:

  • You will work with a team of software engineers, quality designers and data analysts to develop new workflows, and frameworks to take Frostbite into a new era of AI-based workflows.
  • You will identify new opportunities to improve Frostbite quality processes, and will lead the design, implementation, review and delivery of large functionality.
  • You will ensure that code is tested and of high-quality, and that our outcomes are measurable and documented.
  • You will debug technical issues and prevent reoccurrences.
  • You will contribute to our team culture of learning, collaboration, sustainability, and promoting engineering best practices.

Qualifications:

  • BSc degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related academic programme, or equivalent training and experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in C# or C++.
  • Experience with the software engineering lifecycle of a complex codebase, including testing, CI/CD and software release.

Bonus if you have...

  • Experience in AI and Agentic technologies to aid software development.
  • Background in Quality Engineering.
  • Knowledge of client-server application development, and deploying code in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.
  • Experience in database and cloud technologies.
  • Experience in game or game engine development.

Pay Transparency - North America

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$119,600 - $167,300 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.

For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
