Journeyman/woman Electrician
Responsibilities
- Comply with all safety standards and procedures set forth by BJ Energy Solutions
- Develop working knowledge of BJ Energy Solutions Titan Fleet
- Availability for 24 hours coverage while on scheduled rotation
- Must use proper grounding techniques
- Understanding of various schematics
- Able to perform proper and safe cable routing
- Will be required to complete all BJ Energy Solutions training as provided
- Able to determine appropriate level of personal protective equipment (PPE) needed for the specific assigned task
- Must be able to properly use various tools such as multimeters, meggers, scope meter along with other hand & power tools needed to complete the job
- Be able to exercise the proper techniques & best practices for 110 V A/C, 240 V A/C, 480 V A/C, 13.8 kV A/C single and three phase power.
- Must be familiar with:
- Mobile Power Generation
- Variable Frequency Drives
- Motors
- Motor Control Centers
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor.
- Manages workload to ensure timely, efficient, and effective completion of assigned projects and tasks
- Promotes a safe workplace, follows safety standards at all times, and complies with statutory regulations and organizational safety requirements
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with colleagues while exhibiting good communication and flow of information
- Must follow BJ Energy Solutions Code of Conduct at all times
Work Schedule
- Ability to work a rotational schedule of 16 days on, followed by 12 days off. However, schedule is subject to change and/or fluctuate as per business needs
- Schedule includes working day shift, night shift, weekends, holidays, etc
- Work both in the facility and on customer locations, as needed
Requirements
- Alberta and/or Red Seal Certification
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in Electrical field with knowledge of A/C & D/C power
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities on frequent basis
- Strong attention to details
