About the role
The C Hotel by Carmens is a chic retreat located in Hamilton. At the heart and soul of the C Hotel’s success is a remarkable team, who have been nationally recognized for their sincere and attentive service, flawless performance and culinary excellence.
We are seeking a part-time candidate with excellence in the area of Guest Services to fill the Night Audit shift on Fridays & Saturdays.
YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
- Provide a warm, engaging and personalized experience for our guests
- Respond to guest requests and inquiries in a timely manner
- Compile and check daily record sheets, guest accounts, receipts and vouchers
- Audit all in house guests’ portfolios for completeness and accuracy
- Report hotel financial records and create reports in accordance with the Carmens Group accounting team
- Roll front desk computers to next business day
- Manage and resolve all guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner
- Use persuasive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services available at the Hotel
- Exercise good judgment and demonstrate leadership abilities
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience as a Guest Services Agent or Night Auditor
- Friendly, professional and customer service focused
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Smart Serve Certified
- Availability to work from 11:00pm until 7:00am on Fridays and Saturdays
- Previous experience using a POS system an asset
- High School Diploma required, completion of college or university program in hospitality management is considered an asset
- Experience using OPERA Cloud considered an asset
