We are looking for an individual to add value to our Engineering Team. This successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with a team of Engineers as well as alongside the Maintenance, Quality and Operational teams. This role supports senior engineers with design, analysis, testing, and documentation while developing valuable skills within the industry, including the implementation of various activities that are critical to meeting the plants SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale) objectives.
Key Roles and Responsibilities will include (not limited to):
- Participate in Continuous Improvement projects (Kaizens) to improve safety, quality and machine availability (uptime) and performance.
- Maintain standard work instructions for the assembly and injection processes.
- Follow weekly and monthly production reports using daily production data.
- Assist Engineering team with workflow, time studies and data collection across the plant for process improvements
- Collaborate with Cross-functional teams and contribute to design reviews
- Help facilitate the training and change management process for production-related changes
- Support project management initiatives and product launches, within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Weekend work may be required in order to support engineering, facilities and/or production requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Applied Science degree
- Previous experience in manufacturing, automotive preferred
- Mechanical and Electrical technical background is required
- Knowledge of automation, quality systems, process validation, and regulatory compliance
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles, data-driven manufacturing, and continuous improvement tools
- Hands-on problem solving skills and a willingness to be on the production floor
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
