About the role

Maple Reinders is seeking an experienced and motivated Facilities Manager to join our dynamic and growing team in at our Head Office in Mississauga, Ontario .

The Facilities Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of facility maintenance, office/shop operations, and company fleet management. This hands-on role involves coordinating maintenance schedules, managing service providers, overseeing vehicle and equipment logistics, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities Facilities Management

  • Oversee day-to-day maintenance and operations of facilities, offices, shop and yards.
  • Coordinate repairs, renovations, and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and service providers.
  • Ensure all facilities meet health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Track and manage facility-related budgets and expenditures.

Fleet Management

  • Oversee the company’s national vehicle fleet.
  • Develop and maintain maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
  • Manage vehicle licensing, insurance, fuel cards, and toll transponders.
  • Coordinate vehicle assignments, usage logs, and inspections.
  • Work with operations to plan for fleet expansion or replacement as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with provincial transportation bodies and COR safety regulations.

General Management & Administration

  • Implement and maintain asset tracking and inventory systems.
  • Collaborate closely with staff in equipment and tools department.
  • Support Health & Safety programs across facilities and fleet operations.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in facilities and/or fleet management, preferably within the construction or industrial sector.
  • Strong knowledge of building maintenance, mechanical systems, and vehicle/equipment management.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and vendor contracts.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and fleet management software.
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license (Class G required)
  • Post-secondary education in Facilities Management, Business, or a related field is an asset.
