About the role

Project Analyst

Nova Scotia

Are you ready for a new career journey at Nova Scotia's largest credit union? Join our dedicated team at East Coast Credit Union, where commitment to community, member satisfaction, and financial excellence are the foundation of everything we do.

East Coast Credit Union is a community-driven financial institution committed to a better banking model. A credit union is like a bank in many ways, but with cooperative ownership and special focus on people, not profits. We redefine the definition of local and bring Nova Scotians from many regions together with honest lending, savings, and investment products. Be part of an organization committed to fostering growth and empowering individuals on our team and in our East Coast community.

East Coast Credit Union is looking for a Project Analyst to join our team! The Project Analyst (PA) plays a key role in supporting the Project Management Office by facilitating the intake of new initiatives and enabling successful project delivery. The PA bridges the gap between business needs and technical solutions, collaborating with internal and external partners, project managers, and delivery teams to define requirements, assess feasibility, and support execution.

We offer…

  • Competitive compensation ($65,820.61 – $77,436.32) and performance-based incentives.

  • Generous benefit package including a Flexible Health and Dental Plan (paid 100% by employer) and up to 9% contribution with employer match in the Defined Contribution Pension Plan.
  • Tuition reimbursement, training, and personal development.
  • Employee perks such as annual wellness credit; reduced rates on employee loans/mortgages and paid volunteer time.

You would…

  • Partner with business units to identify and define project opportunities aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Conduct needs assessments and high-level scoping to support intake decisions.
  • Support prioritization discussions and contribute to intake governance processes.
  • Collaborate with project managers to integrate requirements into project plans.
  • Support solution design and validation through workshops, prototypes, and testing coordination.
  • Monitor progress against requirements, assist in managing scope changes, and maintain alignment with objectives.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools to track KPIs and portfolio health.
  • Participate in post-implementation reviews to assess outcomes and recommend improvements.
  • Act as a liaison between business units, technical teams, and external vendors.
  • Support change management efforts by contributing to training materials and transition plans.

You have…

  • A Professional certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA) or Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) considered an asset.
  • A Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) with proven ability to plan, organize, and deliver complex initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and partner engagement skills with the ability to manage diverse groups and align priorities.
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and research skills with keen attention to detail.

You are…

  • Passionate about providing exceptional customer service.
  • Experienced at recognizing and reducing risk.
  • Confident in your presentation skills.
