Your Main Responsibilities
- Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules
- Assist in developing, planning, organizing, and carrying out the design of various mechanical projects (HVAC, plumbing, hydronics, fire protection, controls, etc) including preparing and verifying technical drawings and specifications
- Carry-out energy modelling, building take-offs, system(s) reviews, and report writing associated with Energy Modelling and Energy Audit work.
- Reviewing shop drawings
- Carry out and assist with field reviews and field data collection to aid in project completion
- Preparation of technical reports, specifications, proposals and presentations
- Preparation of cost estimates
- Site Investigations and studies including preparation of Building condition assessments
- Adhere to project budgets and objectives
- Attend project meetings with Clients and other design team members
- Coordinate with other design disciplines
- Participate in internal and external project meetings
- Dealing with clients, contractors, and suppliers in the positive promotion of the firm
What Makes You Unique
- 5+ years of experience in the mechanical building systems engineering / consulting field
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited University
- Eligibility or enrollment as a Professional Engineer with APEGNB
- Proficiency with various energy modelling & load analysis software (EnergyPlus, HAP, RET Screen Expert, IES-VE, etc) an asset
- Proficiency with various CAD programs (AUTOCAD & REVIT) an asset
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written. Bilingual (French) would be an asset
- Strong organizational skills that will allow you to work on numerous projects concurrently, and update reoccurring tasks
- High level of integrity and work ethic
- Attention to detail while multi-tasking
- An understanding of product results
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to meet deadlines and adhere to project budgets
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Valid Driver’s License
