About the role

Are you an experienced Material Technician looking for an exciting opportunity to work on a major industrial project? This is a hands-on, field-based role responsible for receiving, inspecting, organizing, and tracking materials on a large-scale industrial construction project. The successful candidate will ensure materials are accurately received, free from damage, properly documented, and stored in designated locations to support efficient project execution. Learn more about working at Ledcor – watch here Essential Responsibilities Receive incoming materials, equipment, and project deliveries Verify shipments against packing slips, purchase orders, and delivery documentation Inspect materials for damage, defects, or missing components upon arrival Ensure all parts, quantities, and required documentation are complete and accurate Organize and label materials in accordance with site procedures Coordinate and store materials in designated storage locations Track material movement and maintain inventory accuracy Communicate discrepancies, shortages, damages, and quality concerns to project personnel Support material preservation and Ledcor housekeeping standards Adhere to all Ledcor and project safety policies, procedures, and site requirements Qualifications Provincially recognized materials technician journeyperson certification preferred Minimum 3-5 years of experience in materials management, warehouse operations, or material receiving within industrial construction environments Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently in a fast-paced field environment Physically capable of walking site locations and working outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial or construction environment Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing Valid issued government photo Identification Project-specific online orientations must be completed Work Conditions 10 days on, 4 days off rotational schedule Extended health benefits provided through CLAC Weekly payment of wages Work in all weather conditions year-round and willing to lend a hand where needed Candidates must reside in the Greater Edmonton Region Additional Information Ledcor builds and maintains infrastructure in various industries including oil and gas, transportation, and mining.
