JOB DESCRIPTION
AAA Canada is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager – Product Development to bring expertise and strengthen our team. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager – Product Development, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, compliance, and safety of new products, from design through to production transfer.
Responsibilities
- Ensure product development compliance with applicable standards, directives, procedures, and quality plans.
- Oversee the proper application of all procedures and standards required for production readiness.
- Supervise product compliance with applicable regulations, from certification planning to the completion of the final technical file.
- Lead the product risk management process in accordance with ISO 14971 (plan, HA, dFMECA, pFMECA analyses, and final reports).
- Actively participate in design reviews and manufacturing process reviews for products under development.
- Review and approve verification and validation test plans and reports.
- Ensure the management and compliance of technical documentation (DHF, engineering drawings, work instructions, etc.).
- Maintain product quality and compliance during design changes in development.
- Evaluate the compliance of deliverables for production transfer and certify that quality criteria are met.
- Collaborate with the sustaining quality assurance team to ensure a complete and effective transfer to production.
- Contribute to updating and continuously improving development procedures in line with change management best practices.
Skills and Qualifications
- University degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in quality assurance (design) or product certification.
- Member in good standing of the OIQ or CPI.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, teaching, teamwork, and influencing abilities.
- Bilingualism (French – English), written and spoken, is a key asset for communication in the client’s multilingual environment and for technical documentation.
- Knowledge of regulations: ISO 13485:2016, ISO 14971, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, MDR 2017/745.
- Experience in product certification (CE, CSA/UL, FCC, ISO/IEC, RoHS/REACH).
- Familiarity with specific standards: IEC 60601, IEC 61000 Series, IEC 60204-1, ISO 13849, ISO 10218, IEC 61508, ISO 15066, etc.
