Role Description The Store Manager role at Bulk Barn Foods Limited in Calgary, AB is a full-time, on-site position responsible for overseeing daily store operations. This includes leading and scheduling store staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining store cleanliness and merchandising standards, and monitoring inventory levels. The Store Manager will manage cash handling procedures, implement retail loss prevention practices, and ensure compliance with company policies and health and safety standards. The role also involves driving sales performance, analyzing store metrics, and executing promotional activities. The Store Manager will foster a positive, inclusive work environment and provide training and coaching to team members to support their development.
Qualifications
Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, with the ability to create a welcoming and responsive in-store experience. Effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, active listening, and the ability to provide constructive feedback and coaching. Proven Store Management experience, including staff supervision, scheduling, merchandising, and day-to-day retail operations. Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices, including monitoring for shrink, enforcing policies, and promoting a culture of accountability. Previous experience in retail or grocery environments, ideally in a supervisory or management capacity. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting. Comfort with basic computer systems and point-of-sale (POS) technology. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
