We have an exciting opportunity to lead offshore well engineering and design! In this role, you will oversee campaign planning and budget development to enable safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of well programs. You will collaborate across disciplines to support well planning and operations, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and business objectives.

Minimum Requirements:
- 10 years plus of progressive engineering and leadership experience, including experience in offshore brownfield developments across multiple basins
- An undergraduate degree in engineering and registered as or immediately eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists Newfoundland & Labrador (PEGNL)
- Strong understanding of offshore equipment and services required to conduct intervention and abandonment operations
- Familiarity with NORSOK D-010 and Newfoundland and Labrador regulations
- Experience with subsea horizontal Xmas trees
- Experience with harsh environment semi-submersibles
- Knowledge of subsea production systems, interfaces, and controls
- Skilled in service company oversight, contract negotiation, and technical/commercial evaluations
- Proficient in Well planning, cost control, logistics, documentation, and well engineering software
- Experienced in leading multidisciplinary teams and applying lessons learned across campaigns
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate deep expertise in subsea, drilling, completions, and abandonment engineering based on exposure to multiple basins
- Build and sustain a high-performing team and promote a one-team culture
- Plan and support the execution of well interventions, workovers, and abandonments in adherence with the corporate management system
- Effectively lead multidisciplinary teams through a stage-gated project process, applying lessons learned from industry and previous campaigns
- Ensure regulatory compliance and engineering quality throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure service company oversight and QA/QC. Lead contract negotiations and oversee technical and commercial evaluations

Location and other key details:
- You will work out of our St. John’s office, located at 130 Kelsey Drive
- This position reports to the Wells Director, East Coast
- Offshore travel required. 3 -4 times per year by helicopter to the MODU (approximately 3.5 hours round trip)
- Qualified residents of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador will be given first consideration in the staffing of this position
- Relocation support will be provided
- Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines, and the pay band will generally be based on years of experience and scope of work
