$27,23 to $37,96 hourly rate

NATURE OF THE WORK
In the area of building systems, the building technician is responsible for the functioning, maintenance, verification and installation of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration and control systems. In addition, you will be required to:

Calibrate, adjust, modify and program electronic and pneumatic controls;
-
Coordinate the technical work of the preventive maintenance of mechanical systems;
-
Conduct regular inspections and required operational tests;
-
Ensure that repairs are carried out or carry out repairs, as required;
-
Make the necessary recommendations for major repairs or improvements required;
-
Participate in preparing and keeping an up-to-date physical inventory of mechanical services and of the replacement parts required for a safe operation of the systems;
-
Examine and suggest energy conservation programs, and apply them or see to their application once they are approved;
-
Prepare architectural plans and drawings for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, electricity and others;
-
Comment on plans and specifications provided by outside firms;
Visit building sites;
Monitor and determine the payments to be made for the projects you are responsible for; -
Program intrusion alarm systems;
-
Update energy expenditures (HELIOS).
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
-
Hold a diploma of College Studies in Building Systems Technology or diploma recognized as equivalent by the competent authority;
-
Have three years of experience in building mechanics;
-
Have experience with STRATO (BBP) and DELTA (Regulvar) environments (considered an asset);
-
Have a good knowledge of French (oral and written) and a functional knowledge of spoken English;
-
Be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite;
-
Obtain a passing grade on a basic Excel test;
-
Have knowledge of AutoCad drawing software;
-
Have one-year experience in preventive maintenance using a CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) (considered an asset);
-
Hold the ASP Health and Safety on Construction Sites card (considered an asset);
-
Hold a valid driver’s licence (Class 5).
