As an Asset Administrator 2, you will be responsible for developing and running reports used to monitor data quality in records and databases containing information about asset updates. You will also add and update information about products and contracts as well as research product roadmaps and new products. Primary duties include:

  • Develop reports used to manage the procurement of Information Technology products.
  • Run and report on various areas of the supply chain to indicate quality and levels of work.
  • Conduct research on product roadmaps, model functionality, industry best practices and new products.
  • Provide recommendations and documentation for lifecycle and upgrade paths.
  • Collaborate with clients to help identify products to meet their business needs and work with vendors to process technology asset order requests.
  • Follow procedures in the acquisition, procurement, receiving, deployment and disposal of technology assets.
  • Update asset and contract records in the asset management system.
  • Audit asset records and client requests to ensure documented standards and procedures are followed.
  • Review and recommend changes to existing processes and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to the Asset Administrator 1 positions including training and coaching.

Qualifications

  • A completed 2 year technical diploma in a computer related discipline with at least 3 years of experience in a computer technology or asset management role.
  • Intermediate capabilities with Microsoft Office with a focus on Word, Excel and Visio.
  • Experience using reporting tools and databases, such as Business Intelligence and the use of Remedy System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) discovery tools will be considered assets.
  • You have strong facilitation and communications skills alongside well-developed problem-solving skills.
  • You have exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated customer focus.

Pre-employment Requirements

  • A security clearance will be conducted.
  • Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications.

Workstyle: This position may be eligible to work from home for at least part of the time as one of several flexible work options available to City employees. These arrangements depend on the operational requirements of the role, employee suitability, and are subject to change based on operational needs and corporate direction.

Compensation: Pay Grade 8 $37.77 - 50.50 per hour

Days of Work: This position typically works a 5 day

work week, with 1 day off in each 3 week cycle.

Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
