About the role
Job Overview Plan A is looking for a Partnership Manager to own and elevate our relationships with the world’s most influential technology ecosystems: Amazon’s AWS, Microsoft, Google, Salesforce, and others. You must have experience working with at least one, and ideally two or more of these companies.
Your mission is to position Plan A Technologies as a "go-to" partner for these platforms. You will manage the certifications, opportunities, leads, case studies, the co-sell motions, and the high-level relationships.
Responsibilities
- Alliance Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership roadmap for Amazon, Microsoft, Google Cloud, and Salesforce.
- Co-Sell Leadership: Drive "Partner-Originated" and "Partner-Influenced" revenue by connecting Plan A’s sales team with the relevant Account Executives and PDM counterparts at our partner organizations.
- Tier Advancement: Proactively manage the requirements for partner tiering (e.g., AWS Competencies, Microsoft Solutions Partner designations) to ensure Plan A maintains elite status.
- Marketplace Management: Oversee our presence in the AWS Marketplace and Azure Marketplace and GCP to streamline procurement for our clients.
- Enablement & Advocacy: Educate partner sales teams on Plan A’s unique value proposition so they can feel confident referring us to their customers.
- Event & Field Marketing: Represent Plan A at major summits (re:Invent, Dreamforce, Ignite) to deepen executive relationships.
Experience & Qualifications The Ideal Profile: You have previously sat on the "other side" of the desk as a Partner Development Manager or Partner Success Manager at a major cloud provider. Direct experience working within the partner ecosystems of AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or Salesforce is required.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in Channel Management, Business Development, or Strategic Alliances within the tech sector.
- Technical Literacy: A strong understanding of Cloud Infrastructure (IaaS/PaaS) and Enterprise SaaS ecosystems. You don't need to code, but you must be able to speak and understand the language of our technical partners.
- Ecosystem Knowledge: Deep familiarity with partner portals (e.g., AWS Partner Central, Microsoft Partner Center, Salesforce Partner Community, Google Cloud Partner Network).
- Network: An existing "rolodex" of contacts within these major tech organizations is a significant advantage.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required for the ability to navigate complex, multi-layered organizations.

About Plan A Technologies
Plan A Technologies is an award-winning software engineering company.
Both startups and Fortune 500 organizations ask us to build or enhance hundreds of different types of software products -- financial platforms, games, real estate tech, healthcare apps, marketing software, and much more.
Our founders are software entrepreneurs who built and sold several multimillion-dollar tech companies prior to starting Plan A. They were repeatedly disappointed when they hired other development shops in the past, so they decided to create the development company that they had always been wishing for...but could never find.
Here are five things that make us unique:
-
Our people genuinely know what they’re doing. We are far more selective than our competitors (we hire only a fraction of a percent of our applicants), so we get the work done correctly the first time. We also deeply understand the industries where we work. Our team helps with both the tech challenges and the business challenges you need to overcome.
-
We're available 24/7/365, across every time zone.
-
We actually care. Our back-end and front-end software engineers, technology researchers, UI/UX experts, business analysts, DevOps engineers, QA engineers, software architects, former CIOs and CTOs, and PMs are selected for their kindness, drive and desire to do the right thing as much as their technical skill.
-
We're flexible. We can do project-based work, retainer work, hourly rate work, staff augmentation, or tech consulting. We can give you a one-person team, or a 100-person team.
-
Our track record. We prioritize the health and success of our long-term relationships above all else with our clients. This idea of fostering long-term relationships means we do everything possible to make it easy to work with us. We treat you the way we would want to be treated if our roles were reversed.
Please reach out if you'd like to join our team, or if you'd like us to give you a free estimate!
