The Account Manager assists in making sales calls to new prospective clients, presents demos and assists the client with ongoing support regarding services. He/she will be responsible for weekly and monthly communication quotas.

Responsibilities
Account managers are responsible for managing relationships with specific customers for the organization, including completing sales. As an Account Manager, you must have a thorough knowledge of LiM’s products and services and need to be able to make targeted pitches for current and future clients. While you will be expected to work full time in an office setting, you may need to travel to conduct meetings and demos for clients. In addition to staying up to date on LiM’s offerings, as the Account Manager, you must also stay up to date on innovations and trends in the translation and interpreting field and how they might affect clients’ operations and needs.
RELATIONSHIPS AND SALES
Engage new and past clients to conduct discoveries in order to better grasp their needs on an ongoing basis as well as an assessment of their future and current project scope. Presents software demos and is responsible for ongoing training and account maintenance for specific accounts. Develop and maintain relationships with clients as well as manage current client database with frequent contact and follow up.
Key Industries
The main industries that we work with on an account management basis are Police, Emergency Services, Government organizations, Insurance companies, and others.
PROJECTS
Keep tabs on client projects and liaise with projects team to ensure expectations are being met. Resolve issues with project team when they arise and present solutions to clients
PRICING
Ensure that all contracts signed are in accordance with LiM’s prices and report on pricing is discovered of similar services in the industry.
TENDERS, BIDS, PUBLIC CONTRACTS
Assists in preparation of bids including scopes of work and management of RFQ’s and bid queries when necessary
Requirements
A bachelor’s degrees in business, communications, finance, marketing, economics or another relevant field is required for this position. Customer service experience and the ability to communicate well is mandatory. Account managers must be proficient with Microsoft Suite, Google Workspace and be able to learn new systems easily. Presentation skills are required as the account manager will be presenting demos and/or presentations to individuals and groups. Knowledge of a second language is preferred.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a Project/Account/Relationship Management environment
- Extremely capable and professional written and oral skills in American/Canadian English (complete fluency: native/near native level of fluency)
- Thrives in a multidisciplinary entrepreneurial environment – passionate about his/her work
- A Degree or Diploma from a recognized University
- Excellent capability with Microsoft Excel
- Adept capability within Gmail, Google Drive, Google Documents, MS Word, and Powerpoint
- Professional phone and email etiquette
- Competent with new software and computer applications
- Provides a high level of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
- Develops relationships with internal and external project personnel and clients by working with integrity and empathy
- Can work and communicate effectively with team members, clients, subcontractors, and the general public
- Takes responsibility for the results of his/her work
- Methodical by nature; works independently

- Contributes to the progress of the company via innovative thinking
Assets
- Project Manager (PMP) Certification or CAPM Certification
- Competent in Podio – Project Management in order to plan, track and coordinate projects considered an asset
- Reading and comprehension of English legal and technical terminology, as well as familiarity with multiple languages
- Understanding of the global Translation and Interpretation industry
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration or MBA
- Translation Studies in a second/third language
- Ability to work with many different file formats i.e. PDF, JPEG, AI, DOC, etc.
- Has worked in a fast-growth environment
- Experience with CAT tools and TM software
- Experience with TM Project Management Software
