We are currently seeking a Sr Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, the Corporate Accountant will be responsible for maintaining CIF’s historical books, preparing global consolidations, and reconciling IFRS accounting bases. The role will also provide support in financial statement preparation, draft technical accounting memos, and assist with post-close M&A activities, including valuations and acquisition accounting.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Maintain balances as it relates to CIF's historical books, including intangibles, equity accounted investments, equity, leases, and debt
- Prepare CIF's global consolidation on a historical basis
- Come up with and maintain reconciliation between different basis of IFRS accounting (Mubadala VS Historical)
- Provide support on financial statement preparation, including preparing certain note disclosures
- Prepare technical accounting memos as issue arises
- Provide post-close accounting support on M&A activities, including valuations and acquisition accounting memos
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- CPA designated, or will be imminently designated.
- 2 to 4 years of work experience in a corporate accounting or auditing environment.
- Solid understanding of IFRS fundamentals, especially consolidation, business combinations, leases.
- Detail-oriented.
- Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel.
- Desire for continuous improvements.
- Industry experience in the asset management or wealth management sector preferred.
- Experience working with large ERP systems preferred, especially with Workday.
