Part-Time Marketing Assistant at Pacific First Aid
About the role
COMPANY OVERVIEW
Pacific First Aid, in partnership with the Canadian Red Cross, provides first aid certification training for individuals and organizations. We specialize in private group training sessions delivered either at our facility or client locations.
We also supply a wide range of first aid products and work closely with both new and existing clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate product and service solutions. Our focus is on practical skills that prepare individuals to respond confidently to emergencies.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a detail-oriented and resourceful Marketing Assistant to support our growing marketing team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will contribute to digital marketing initiatives, including website management, social media content creation, and promotional campaign support.
This role also includes occasional event support and is well-suited for someone who is proactive, communicative, and able to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Website Management
- Update product listings, including pricing, media assets, descriptions, and tags
- Optimize product pages for search engines (SEO best practices)
- Create new product pages with compelling copy and visuals
Social Media & Content
- Create and schedule engaging content (Posts, stories, reels, and graphics)
- Interact with customers and followers through social media platforms
- Assist in creating and distributing email newsletters
- Support planning and execution of promotional campaigns across platforms
Event Support
- Assist with on-site event setup, coordination, and execution
- Lift and carry items up to 25 lbs as required
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
This role reports to and receives ongoing coaching from the Marketing Specialist.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Currently enrolled or graduated in a post-Secondary program (e.g., bachelor, or certificate) in a related program (e.g., Digital Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, Technology, Business)
- Fluent in English
- Knowledge of SEO and website content management
- Strong written communication and familiar with communication tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Canva, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Experience with social media content creation
- Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs and climb ladders if required
- Occasional weekend as needed
- Attending all marketing related events
ADDITIONAL SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Fluency in second language
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to your own vehicle
