About the role

  • Support the Combat Management System 330 (CMS 330) Operating Environment
  • Design and Troubleshoot Linux based computer systems
  • Design and troubleshoot computer networks
  • Automate deployment of system configurations and applications
  • Implement cyber security best practices
  • Work in an Agile team development environment

What you bring to the role

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma from an accredited university or college in a related discipline or real world experience
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Have an aptitude for solving Information Technology (IT) problems in a team environment
  • Willing and able to support schedule including evenings and weekends, as required
  • Willing to learn new skills as required by position
  • Have a security-first mindset Have a high degree of initiative and autonomy
  • Have an understanding of Linux based Operating System (OS) configuration
  • Have an understanding of Windows System administration and automated deployment
  • Have an understanding of computer networking
  • Able to work 100% onsite
  • Eligible for North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secret security clearance and Canadian Controlled Goods (CG)

Additional skills desired for the role

  • Software Development Experience
  • DevSecOps Engineering Experience
  • System Design and Architecture Experience
  • Familiarity with Canada's certification and accreditation process for Classified systems
  • Familiarity with Build Tools (Git, Svn, Jenkins, Ansible, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as code methodology and development
  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodology
  • Familiarity with Bash Familiarity with Java and C++
  • Familiarity with Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)
  • Active NATO Secret security clearance is considered an asset.
