About the role
- Support the Combat Management System 330 (CMS 330) Operating Environment
- Design and Troubleshoot Linux based computer systems
- Design and troubleshoot computer networks
- Automate deployment of system configurations and applications
- Implement cyber security best practices
- Work in an Agile team development environment
What you bring to the role
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma from an accredited university or college in a related discipline or real world experience
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Have an aptitude for solving Information Technology (IT) problems in a team environment
- Willing and able to support schedule including evenings and weekends, as required
- Willing to learn new skills as required by position
- Have a security-first mindset Have a high degree of initiative and autonomy
- Have an understanding of Linux based Operating System (OS) configuration
- Have an understanding of Windows System administration and automated deployment
- Have an understanding of computer networking
- Able to work 100% onsite
- Eligible for North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secret security clearance and Canadian Controlled Goods (CG)
Additional skills desired for the role
- Software Development Experience
- DevSecOps Engineering Experience
- System Design and Architecture Experience
- Familiarity with Canada's certification and accreditation process for Classified systems
- Familiarity with Build Tools (Git, Svn, Jenkins, Ansible, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as code methodology and development
- Experience with Agile Scrum methodology
- Familiarity with Bash Familiarity with Java and C++
- Familiarity with Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)
- Active NATO Secret security clearance is considered an asset.
