BVT Truck & Trailer Repair, a division of Steve’s Livestock Transport,is a diverse mechanic shop specializing in repairs and maintenance for all types of trucks and trailers as well as custom aluminum fabrication. We have grown into three locations to serve our customers in Blumenort, Brandon, MB as well as Red Deer, AB.
We are looking for a Part/Service Advisor to join our team in Brandon, MB on the Evening Shift Sunday – Thursday 3:30-Midnight.
As a Parts/Service Advisor, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient operations in our service department. You will be responsible for initiating service and repairs, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Service & Repair: Initiate and schedule service/repairs, manage maintenance requests, verify warranties, develop estimates, create/assign repair orders, and coordinate with dispatch to minimize downtime.
- Parts & Inventory: Track and distribute parts, process emergency and special orders, maintain accurate inventory records, and assist with year-end counts.
- Warranty: Verify warranty coverage, process returns, complete required paperwork, and track invoices for reimbursement.
- Work Orders: Create, assign, and monitor work orders; document progress, ensure accuracy in billing/coding, and close orders promptly.
- Reporting & Communication: Provide regular updates to management, resolve discrepancies, and maintain positive, professional communication with staff and customers.
- Other Duties: Support the parts department and complete additional tasks as assigned.
Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of parts or service-writing experience (trucking background preferred)
- Strong customer service, computer, and organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and internet applications
- Professional and detail-oriented

About Steve's Livestock Transport
Founded in 1987 as a one-man operation, Steve's Livestock Transport has since grown to become North America's largest commercial livestock transportation company. Over the last 25 years, we have expanded to include a dry freight division. We have three locations to serve our customers, in Blumenort and Brandon, Manitoba and Acme, Alberta.
We have a fleet of 130 power units, transporting more than 2,500 cattle and 150,000 pigs per week within Canada and the United States. All 3 of our locations have commercial washing and repair facilities for trucks and trailers. In addition to servicing our own units, these facilities provide custom washing and repairs for other large equipment and fleets as well.
