The QA/QC Coordinator will support quality assurance and quality control activities on large industrial construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring all construction work meets project specifications, applicable codes, and quality standards. The position requires strong field presence and the ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and verify the quality of work performed by construction personnel across multiple disciplines
- Oversee fabricators, vendors, and construction crews to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality requirements
- Review and approve contractor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
- Review contractor Quality Management Plans at the start of construction activities
- Monitor implementation of QA/QC programs throughout construction phases
- Ensure inspection and test plans are followed and properly documented
- Identify, track, and coordinate resolution of construction deficiencies with contractors and Construction Management Team (CMT)
- Coordinate turnover documentation and support final project handover
- Work independently while supporting a larger project execution team
Requirements
- 4–9 years of relevant construction quality, field engineering, or QA/QC experience
- Journeyperson certification in Electrical/Instrumentation or Mechanical trade required
- Working knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical systems in industrial settings
- Strong understanding of industrial construction codes, standards, and best practices
- Solid knowledge of quality systems, inspection processes, and construction QA/QC frameworks
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple contractors and priorities
