The Opportunity
We’re hiring a Group Experience & Events Manager to lead the end-to-end group guest journey across our hospitality, food & beverage, and tourism offerings in Whistler.
This role blends group sales, event planning, relationship management, and on-site execution, while also supporting team leadership and post-visit engagement. You’ll manage group bookings from first inquiry through follow-up, collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Revenue, and Operations teams, and drive repeat business through thoughtful guest connections.
This is a hands-on hospitality leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the impact of exceptional service, and can balance operational detail with big-picture experience design.

What You Bring to the Table
- Experience in hospitality, tourism, hotels, or food & beverage
- Proven background in group bookings, event planning, contracting, and execution
- Confidence in sales, client outreach, and relationship-building
- Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
- Proficiency with CRM systems, digital communication tools, and contracts
- Flexibility to support events, evenings, and special requests
Your Days Will Look Like
- Group Sales & Event Management: Manage group inquiries, bookings, and event execution from start to finish while delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving group revenue.
- Pre- & Post-Visit Experience: Lead pre-arrival outreach and post-visit follow-up to gather feedback, encourage repeat bookings, and convert guests into G Wheel members.
- Marketing & Materials: Collaborate with Marketing to maintain polished group communications, brochures, and digital content that reflect The Gibbons Way.
- Guest Recovery & Atmosphere: Ensure warm group arrivals, oversee on-site execution, and resolve guest concerns in partnership with the Experience Manager.
- CRM & Reporting: Maintain accurate CRM records, track group performance, and support guest review and satisfaction initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop team members through regular 1-on-1s, recognition, and growth pathways.
