The Regina Correctional Centre is seeking confident and positive role models to manage the overall operations of units at the Regina Correctional Centre and White Birch Remand Unit. The Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety is responsible for providing a fair justice system that upholds the law and protects the rights of all individuals in Saskatchewan, promotes safe and secure communities, and provides legal and justice policy advice to assist government.

As Assistant Deputy Director of Programs and one of the key members of the Correction Division's management team, the successful candidates will provide leadership and direction with respect to program development and delivery, security management, crisis management, fiscal management and human resources. The Ministry is seeking highly motivated professionals. As the successful candidate, you will plan, develop, implement, and evaluate programs, policies, procedures, and other matters impacting the Centre's operations related to offender programs, integrated case management and custodial issues.

You will develop and maintain professional partnerships and relationships. You will provide integrated services with your client region which includes client families; provincial and federal agencies such as Health, Social Services, and Mental Health; victims; police and RCMP services; and Indigenous Communities and their respective justice communities. As the Assistant Deputy Director or Programs, you will develop inter-ministerial, inter-agency, and community partnerships based on respect and collaborative responsibility.

To be considered for this position, you will have knowledge of The Correctional Services Act and Regulations; Corrections key challenges and strategies, policies, procedures, and programs; knowledge of criminogenic factors and their relationship to offender case management; and knowledge of human behaviours, interpersonal communications, and counseling methodologies within an institutional corrections environment.

To qualify, you would typically have a degree in the social sciences or equivalent and supervisory experience in an institutional corrections environment.
