Job Description RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position Summary This role is designed to provide direct support to Dr. Nadia Giannetti in her ongoing and upcoming research activities, with a focus on projects such as the heart-in-a-dish cardiac regeneration study and the inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) systems biology initiative and other research initiatives. The Clinical Research Coordinator will take the lead on data analysis, statistical modeling, and the preparation of manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and analytically strong individual who thrives in a collaborative and fast-moving research environment.

General Duties

  • Analyze experimental, clinical, and omics datasets using appropriate statistical methods and tools (e.g., R, Python, SPSS).
  • Contribute to the design and refinement of study protocols in regenerative cardiology and immunology.
  • Conduct thorough literature reviews to support interpretation of data and positioning of research findings.
  • Draft, edit, and finalize scientific manuscripts, abstracts, and presentations.
  • Prepare data visualizations, figures, and tables for publication.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including bioinformaticians, lab scientists, and clinicians.
  • Maintain an organized archive of analyses, references, and draft manuscripts.
  • Provide occasional support with grant writing or progress reports as needed.

Education / Experience

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Field of Study: Health Science, Biological Science

Work Experience: 2-5 years experience

Required Skills

  • Excellent French and English, spoken and written,
  • Background or interest in cardiac biology, stem cell models, or chronic inflammatory diseases is an asset,
  • Strong communication skills and ability to synthesize complex concepts clearly.

Additional information

Status: Temporary, part-time (28 hours/week)

Pay Scale: $24.40 - $45.29/hour. Commensurate with education and experience

Work Shift: Variable Schedule

Work Site: GLEN Site, 1001 boul. Decarie
