Based in Ottawa, Ontario the DevOps Engineer will report to the Director of Technology and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on helping drive automation, scalability, and efficiency across our software development and IT operations. You are someone who is passionate about continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), infrastructure-as-code, and modern cloud-native practices. You will collaborate with developers and system administrators to streamline the development lifecycle, improve deployment pipelines, and ensure system reliability.
What You’ll Do:
As part of the TULLOCH Engineering team, you will:
- Be part of a growing team to assist in digital transformation of TULLOCH corporate data leading to end goal of a business management system (BMS).
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support rapid software delivery.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using current industry standard tools.
- Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) for scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to integrate security, monitoring, and logging into the DevOps toolchain.
- Maintain and improve system observability with monitoring, alerting, and logging tools.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and addressing bottlenecks in the software delivery process.

Who You Are:
- 3+ years of hands-on DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience.
- Strong background in Linux/Unix system administration and scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- Proven experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Understanding of networking, firewalls, load balancers, and security best practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) in production environments.
- You can exercise independent judgment within defined parameters and in alignment with business objectives.
- You are willing to travel periodically as needed.
What You Should Bring:
The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field. Additionally, you should have:
- Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Google Cloud DevOps Engineer.
- Familiarity with microservices, service meshes, and serverless computing.
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills in agile environments.
- Familiar with MS Fabric integrations.
- Strong leadership ability in cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Valid Class G driver’s licence.
