Location: Mississauga
Shifts: 12-hour Continental shift (7 to 7), rotating every 2 weeks (days/nights).
Automation & Mechatronics Technicianis responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving automated and electro-mechanical systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role supports high-uptime production and material-handling environments and works closely with engineering, operations, and external vendors.
What will you do?
- Diploma or certificate in Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in an automation or industrial manufacturing environment
- Hands‑on experience with Siemens PLCs, RTDs, sensors, and VFDs
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
- Willingness to learn, with a strong commitment to quality and attention to detail
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment with solid basic mechanical skills
- Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and planning skills
- Basic computer and math skills, with the ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English
- Ability to work with solvents and in environments with extreme heat, humidity, and high noise levels, while wearing required PPE
- Physically able to lift 35–40 lbs regularly, stand for extended periods, and work 8‑ or 12‑hour shifts (days, afternoons, or nights) as business requires
