Full Time Certified Early Childhood Educator
About the role
INTERNAL / EXTERNAL POSTING Full-Time Certified Early Childhood Educator**(ECE)**
St. James School is located in Vernon, BC. The school enrolls approximately 180 students from Kindergarten to Grade Seven. St. James School is seeking certified Early Childhood Educators for a full- time position (36 hours/week) in their Early Learning Centre, commencing September 1, 2026. The ideal applicant will be responsible for supporting this programming, possess a valid Early Childhood Educator license, a valid First Aid certificate, and be subject to a valid Criminal Record Check using the link and code provided by the school.
Preference will be given to candidates who:
- Share in the Catholic faith and actively participate in the life of their parish
- Work collaboratively to plan, implement and assess developmentally appropriate activities and experiences
- Are energetic and enthusiastic about working with children
- Build trust and positive relationships with students, families, co-workers and supervisors through effective communication and collaborative efforts
- Foster a welcoming, safe environment
- Demonstrate a high degree of initiative, planning and organizational skills
- Provide responsible and effective supervision of children of varying ages
Interested INTERNAL candidates should submit a cover letter noting their experience and updated resume. Please include the contact information of two (2) current professional references (one of which is from an immediate supervisor).
Interested EXTERNAL candidates should submit:
- a cover letter noting their experience, commitment to and philosophy of Catholic education; and,
- a CISKD Support Staff application form along required supportive documentation
