Summary The purpose of this position is to oversee the sales function for key accounts and establish a position of trusted business partner with key customer accounts in a proactive, planned and mutually beneficial relationship.
Key Responsibilities Key Account Services Lead
- Lead location sales, forecasting, and planning.
- Collaborate with Regional and Location Managers on target account responsibilities.
- Manage assigned accounts, build strong professional relationships, and set internal resource needs.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure compliance with customer management standards.
- Develop annual crop plans, budgets, and credit requirements.
- Oversee accounts receivable and credit applications.
- Deliver high-level customer service and communicate competitive insights.
- Identify new customer opportunities aligned with corporate goals.
- Promote Agronomy and Ag Innovation services; assist with agronomy as needed.
- Organize customer events and attend professional/agronomy courses.
- Maintain manufacturer program knowledge and maximize benefits.
- Drive sales, profit, and market share; support operations during peak season.
- Collaborate on accurate sales forecasts to optimize inventory.
- Attend training, industry meetings, and maintain vendor relationships.
- Participate in conference calls and coaching sessions.
Agronomy Support
- Provide agronomic advice, field scouting, and soil sampling.
- Assist with soil analysis and recommendations.
- Share agronomic insights with team and improve knowledge base.
Operations Support
- Support daily location activities, inventory management, and warehouse compliance.
- Handle farm inputs and assist with administrative tasks.
- Enhance customer service and team collaboration.
Industry Liaison
- Build and maintain strong industry relationships.
- Communicate with manufacturers/distributors and stay updated on products.
- Maintain knowledge of key industry players and competitors.

- Excellent Computer Skills
Required Certifications
- Valid class 5 driver’s license
Other Information Work Environment:
- Work location is flexible
- Daily travel, extended hours, and overnight travel within trade area is required
- Indoor and outdoor conditions
Physical Demands:
- Must be physically fit
- able to lift a minimum 50 lb boxes into the back of a pick-up truck
- able to climb on and off farm machinery
- able to walk and work in field plot
