About the role

Reporting to the VP, Advice Enablement, the Advice Field Coach supports Leaders and Advisors across the Member Communication Centre (MCC) and Branch Network to strengthen the delivery of holistic, advice-driven member experiences. This role is central to advancing ACU’s commitment to values-based banking by embedding consistent practices that meaningfully differentiate us in the financial industry.

The Advice Field Coach integrates the Member Experience Principles, Sales Practice Management, and Member Service Standards across all advisory roles, helping create a seamless, relationship-focused member experience. Through this work, the Advice Field Coach contributes to ACU’s strategic goals of intentional growth, deepening member relationships, and an experience that makes it easy to do business with us. This role supports Assiniboine Credit Union/ Caisse Assiniboine (ACU)’s commitment to rural and agricultural communities, francophone services, values-based banking and ACU’s triple bottom line accountability to people, planet, and prosperity

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Accelerate the shift to a proactive advice culture by acting as a secondary coach to elevate advice quality and the overall member experience.
  • Support leaders in developing Advisors to exceed expectations through holistic financial solutions.
  • Deliver impactful coaching through one-on-one sessions, observational feedback, and skill-building, virtually and in person.
  • Design and lead engaging group training and onboarding sessions for Advisors, that introduce core practice management tools, processes, and systems to establish a strong foundation for their growth and success.
  • Create and maintain scalable resources, in collaboration with key stakeholders, such as toolkits, templates, and playbooks that help Advisors implement best practices and streamline day-to-day operations.
  • Provide support for cross-functional projects and execution of annual business plans
  • Support integration of consultative communication, member engagement structure, and pipeline management practices.
  • Act as a clear, confident communicator who influences effectively and builds trust across teams.
  • Provide balanced, constructive feedback and navigate challenging conversations with professionalism and empathy.
  • Champion continuous learning and professional development through high-quality, consistent coaching.
  • Embrace and drive change, acting as a key enabler of strategic initiatives and helping the team adapt to new tools and processes.
  • Advocate for the member by identifying and addressing pain points to ensure a compelling and consistent experience.
  • Promote the use of tools, sales and marketing resources, and strategic enablers to maximize performance and ROI.
  • Uphold ACU’s values-based banking approach, shared value strategy, respectful workplace, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Stay current on market trends, industry shifts, and competitor activity to guide coaching and strategic conversations.
  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships, to achieve ACU’s strategic objectives.
  • Always maintain professional confidentiality and privacy.
  • Responsible for compliance and risk management, through the execution of internal policies and procedures, always maintain ongoing compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements.

Qualifications:

The competencies for the position would typically be acquired through a post-secondary education in a related field, with a minimum of 5 years with previous experience working in a financial institution is required. Candidates must hold a CFP, PFP, or an equivalent financial planning designation, accompanied by hands-on financial planning experience. A coaching certification is mandatory, while an Adult Learning certification is an asset.

  • Open and able to travel as required to support in-person training, meetings, and events.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other standard business applications.

  • Knowledge of Credit Union products, services, policies, and operations is an asset.

Work Location:

  • This role is a hybrid and will also work at St Anne's head office

This role will be a full time position. You will work 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.
