The challenges that await you
Perform tasks related to matching and tracking files subject to payment by the Finance Department. Discuss with the City suppliers the progress of their files and the procedure related to their payment.
- Receive, file, and attach correspondence and documentation related to supplier files and, if necessary, communicate with them to obtain any missing documents;
- Verify supplier data, such as number, business address, company names, etc.;
- Ensure with the requesting Services that the invoiced goods have been delivered and that the purchase order is complete. Verify the signatures of authorized persons upon receipt of goods and services. Obtain all missing supporting documents;
- Perform mathematical checks of invoices and other supporting documents, obtain from stakeholders all relevant explanations regarding the files;
- Analyze invoices and other received documents to allocate payable amounts to each purchase requisition or bid. Ensure that the sum of allocated amounts equals the total of the invoice or other documents.
The ideal profile for us
- Hold a high school diploma (DES) or a vocational diploma (DEP) in a relevant field such as administration, accounting, or another related field;
- Have two (2) years of relevant experience in invoice processing and accounts payable;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Comfortable using financial management computer systems (an asset).
