Guidewire Solutions Architect
About the role
CGI is seeking a Solutions Architect with Guidewire experience to join a project team at one of our clients in the insurance sector.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Design, draft, and update solution architecture documents;
Assist users in specifying operational requirements related to the application;
Evolve the architecture of existing systems based on user needs;
Participate in evaluating application components and planning their development (budgetary impact and timelines);
Ensure the consistency and integrity of solutions in accordance with enterprise architecture;
Support impact analysis, risk identification, and benefits assessment;
Support the project team regarding solution architecture and collaborate closely with enterprise, solution, software, and security architects from delivery teams;
Participate in evaluating systemic solutions, considering necessary contingencies based on the level of architecture (target, preliminary, detailed);
Contribute to the development and monitoring of the roadmap, as well as tracking inter-portfolio dependencies;
Identify and report to the management team any items that could impact budget or timelines;
Develop communication plans for stakeholders at all levels, when required.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Minimum of 10 years of IT experience, including 6 years in a similar role;
Strong proficiency in Guidewire Cloud products, particularly PolicyCenter, ClaimsCenter, and/or BillingCenter;
Major asset: GW ACE (Mammoth) certification and/or strong knowledge of the property and casualty insurance domain;
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

We are seeking candidates with expertise in computer engineering, and holding a license issued by an architectural association is not a prerequisite for this position. CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000–$135,000 This role is an existing vacancy / a future opportunity.
