About the role
Sansom Equipment Limited is Atlantic Canada’s leading distributor and service provider for high-quality pumps, blowers, generators, valves, VFDs, flow meters, chemical injection systems, and engineered packages. With over 50 years of industry success, we proudly support industrial and municipal clients across Eastern Canada.
We are currently seeking a Branch Manager for our Deer Lake, NL location. We are looking for a motivated, technically proficient leader with experience in technical sales, service, and parts management. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with strong industry knowledge and the ability to drive growth while supporting our local team and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all branch operations across sales, service, and parts departments
- Drive business development with Industrial, Municipal, and Commercial clients
- Oversee and support technical sales efforts
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and training standards
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities and strategic initiatives
- Manage staffing, performance reviews, vacation scheduling, and expense approvals
- Maintain and grow service and parts contracts, including pricing strategies
- Build strong relationships with end-users and dealer networks
- Collaborate with senior leadership on long-term planning and reporting
Qualifications
- Technical Diploma, Technical Degree, or certification as a Red Seal Tradesperson
- Proven experience in technical sales, customer support, or service management
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems such as pumps, power generation, marine, or water/wastewater treatment
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing cross-functional teams (sales, service, parts, admin)
- Ability to work both in-office and on-site as required
- Familiarity with tenders, contract development, and equipment distribution is a strong asset
