This is a full-time, permanent position working 75 hours bi-weekly.

We continuously evolve our business structure to improve the way we operate our Whitehorse Liquor Store, central warehouse and five rural community Liquor Stores in Dawson City, Faro, Haines Junction, Mayo, and Watson Lake. The opportunity…

The Assistant Manager, Sales and Distribution, plays a crucial role in keeping liquor sales and deliveries running smoothly across Yukon. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this position helps to lead daily operations, making sure products are distributed quickly and efficiently to YLC stores and licensees. With the support of your team, you ensure that orders are processed correctly and delivered efficiently, contributing to YLC’s vision of service excellence.

Essential qualifications

  • Experience leading and supervising staff in a client-service environment related to warehousing, retail, or distribution
  • Experience in inventory management and providing basic accounting/financial functions
  • Experience supporting operational planning, scheduling, and contract performance monitoring
  • Experience using a variety of computer programs (e.g., point of sale system, inventory management system and Microsoft Office)

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Suitability

To best support the achievement of key strategic and business objectives, candidates may be assessed on:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (initiative, professionalism, positive attitude, problem solving, conflict resolution)

  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as the initiative to work independently in order to accomplish project goals and deliverables

  • Strong organizational skills in a work environment that is challenging and detailed oriented with multiple changing priorities

Additional information

Conditions of Employment:

Valid Yukon Class 5 Driver’s Licence.

Job requirements:

Community travel to support service delivery at YLC stores, up to quarterly.

Physical ability to assist with store or warehouse operations including lifting 30-50lbs when stocking and rotating products.
