The Opportunity
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Coordinator works with a small group of shippers and receivers while coordinating with the sales team and Production Supervisors on deliveries.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate product shipments with the sales team, customers and retailers.
- Maintain shipping process by determining methods of shipment and preparing proper documentation for shipping.
- Participate in weekly scheduling meeting and daily production meeting.
- Prepare international shipping documents and organize trucks in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Produce customer invoices, BOL’s and pack slips.
- Create, maintain, and update master shipping schedule that meets customer requirements and production capacity.
- Liaise with sales department, plant/production managers, and production planning staff to ensure customer deadlines are met.
- Utilize computer programs and databases.
- Provide input on and abide by all safety rules and regulations in place for the company.
- Work with the purchasing department on vending machine and VMI inventory needs.
- Follow AGI’s Code of Business Ethics and related compliance policies.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain is an asset.
- Minimum two years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and multitask.
- Ability to coordinate and liaise with other departments.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing situations and short deadlines
