Position Overview

The Digital & Merchandising Manager plays a critical role in ensuring vehicle inventory is accurately represented online and brought to market quickly and effectively. This position supports dealership operations by managing digital merchandising activities, including vehicle photography, video content, pricing optimization, and online listings across multiple platforms.

Working closely with the sales, trading, and lot teams, this role is responsible for maximizing online visibility, driving customer leads, and maintaining consistency across digital channels. The position is based in Vancouver, BC and reports to dealership leadership.

The expected pay for this position is $26.00 per hour, plus performance-based bonuses.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end digital merchandising workflow: trade stock-in photography reporting

  • Ensure speed-to-market for used vehicle inventory, with timely uploads and accurate listings

  • Capture high-quality vehicle photos and videos, including demo units, following brand standards

  • Coordinate with traders and lot team to organize vehicles and ensure readiness for merchandising

  • Upload and maintain listings across platforms including dealership websites, CarGurus, Trader, and other tools (e.g., vAuto, One-Eighty, 1Source)

  • Optimize pricing strategies and dashboards to maximize exposure and lead generation

  • Provide price recommendations to stores based on market trends and platform insights

  • Perform incoming unit reconciliation to ensure all inventory is accurately accounted for online

  • Audit manufacturer, dealership, and third-party websites for pricing and merchandising accuracy

  • Create compelling vehicle descriptions, including SEO optimization (e.g., correct categorization such as SUV vs passenger vehicle)

  • Monitor and aim to achieve top performance metrics (e.g., merchandising reports, photo quality benchmarks)

  • Support implementation of new merchandising technologies and tools

  • Maintain organized inventory presentation standards (lot readiness, cleanliness, display quality)

  • Collaborate with reconditioning and sales teams to ensure timely readiness of vehicles

  • Conduct social media and digital presence audits to enhance online visibility

  • Assist with vehicle audits and reporting requirements

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications Required

  • Previous experience in automotive merchandising, digital marketing, or dealership operations preferred

  • Strong understanding of online automotive marketplaces and pricing tools (CarGurus, Trader, vAuto, etc.)

  • Proficiency with iPhone or similar devices for photography and video content creation

  • Strong eye for detail and quality in digital presentation

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks independently

  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment

  • Comfortable working with technology, reporting tools, and digital systems

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and appropriate insurance

  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends as needed

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
